The suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Lamido Sanusi, is in the eye of the storm for what many see as his outspokenness and controversial position on critical national issues, especially his revelation about unremitted funds to the Federation Account by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. Shortly before his suspension by the President, he spoke to Metropole magazine. Excerpts

You openly said you were not interested in being reappointed as the governor of CBN. Why?

We are all prisoners of our history and certain people and certain events in our lives tend to shape how we approach life. My father was a career diplomat and in 1975, General Murtala Mohammed appointed him as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His first request was that he would be allowed to leave in two years. Unfortunately, General Murtala Mohammed died after six months and he had to stay for another year; and so, he spent about three years.

Chelsea Set To Offload John Mikel Obi.

John Mikel Obi’s days at Chelsea could be numbered as the club look set to offload the Nigeria international at the end of the season.  According to reports in England, Blues boss Jose Mourinho has informed Mikel he can leave the side for a small fee this summer. The Premier League giants have already started looking for Mikel’s replacement, with Olympique Marseille’s Gianelli Imbula identified as a potential successor. Mikel has become unsettled at Chelsea since the return of Mourinho to west London. The midfielder, who was earlier linked with a move to Galatasary and AS Monaco, has fallen further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the January arrival of Nemanja Matic.

Haute couture fashion designer, Deola Sagoe, has dropped her ex-husband's name, at least from her business, and will be re-branding simply as Deola for the brand's 25th year in the fashion industry. In a recently interview with Okay Africa, the mother of 3 who divorced her Ghanaian husband Kofi Sagoe a long time back said she's focusing on rebranding her fashion line and one of her measures is to change her brand name, Deola Sagoe to Deola, so as to make it to be more personal. 

"Its been 25years that I have been designing and I'm actually going to be re-branding as Deola to make the label somewhat more personal. Deola is about bringing more of the essence of me into my clothing. Deola is very high-end, very bespoke. Deola is more available to a larger number of people who love the brand, who wants to wear it and it is more accessible."

Chocolate City rapper, Panshak Zamani popularly called Ice Prince is asking his fans to pray for him. He shared the above photo with caption'Somebody pray for me... Amen. Its not certain what is wrong with the daddy of one but its looks like the he's not feeling well and was admitted in the hospital. Ice Prince, an orphan is one of many hottest rappers in Nigeria and was listed among the largest Nigerian artistes of 2013. He recently won the 2013 BET Awards for "Best International Act Africa" and has many awards to his name.

I so much hate the way my girlfriend dresses. I've complained over and over again but it seems I'm not getting through to her. She doesn't think a woman can be sexy without showing body parts. Her clothes are skimpy, trashy and disgusting. 

They are all either too short, too tight, breast on display, her favourite are transparent clothes. Those kinds of clothes are fine if you're standing on the streets but not when you are going out with your man. I get very uncomfortable when we go out. She likes all the attention she gets from people when we go out but I am embarrassed. 

Skales denies signing with Timaya’s Dem Mama Records

Two day ago, news broke that Skales is currently in talks with Pop singer Timaya for a record label deal with his Dem Mama Records. The rapper says the news is totally false.

This comes after NET exclusively reported that the rapper has ended his three-year recording contract with Empire Mates Entertainment (EME).

Sources told NET that the label decided not to extend the contract with the rapper as they see it as non-profitable.

It's been revealed that Oscar Pistorius was watching p0rnography on his cellular phone the night he shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. Local media reports that based on the court papers that was leaked from the investigation, data from his phone showed that the murder suspect visited the p0rn sites on his phone while Reeva was at his home. Prosecutors wonder why a person who claims'he was spending quality time together with his girlfriend on Valentine's Day'would be on several p0rn sites while she's with him. In a palace coup reminiscent of the ouster of Generals Yakubu Gowon  and Muhammadu Buhari, erstwhile Governor of Central Bank, Mallam  Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, was unceremoniously suspended from the apex bank a few days ago.  Mallam Sanusi, like  the two former heads of State was out of the country when the adjudged 'clueless' but now 'ruthless' President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (JP) announced his
suspension on allegations of fraud and financial recklessness.
