A major faux pas occurred at the world cup opening ceremony, which took place yesterday. When Nigeria was called, Niger’s flag was displayed.  Some viewers commented on the incident via twitter:
The Nigeria Football Federation says it bears no grudge against FIFA or the 2014 World Cup Local Organising Committee for the error.  “If they called Nigeria and they raised Niger’s flag, it’s not a matter I can address from here. People that were there saw it and I know they will talk to FIFA about it. LOC and FIFA made an honest mistake.

Flight MH370 Passengers' Families to get A Compensation of $50,000

It has been over three months since the mysterious disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370, which went missing as it flew from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

As the search for the plane continues, authorities have began disbursing an initial compensation of $50,000 to the respective  families of the passengers who were on the flight.

So far, one Chinese family and and six Malaysian families have received the money, BBC reports. Insurers are reportedly in the process of assessing the claims of the rest of the families.

Hello people, just came across this site and thot you guys might be able to help me. My ex boyfriend and I broke up a few months ago. He actually said we should break up and even though i understood where he was coming from(we had drifted apart), i was very hurt. Plan: Go to his town, he’ll know am coming but he won’t know its just to see him. Tell him how i feel but stop short of asking him that we should get back together. Tell him i don’t want to be with someone who doesn’t want to be with me but i felt the need to let him know how i feel. Then tell him i came from my town to tell him that and pack my load and leave. What do you guys think? Should i tell him or keep it to myself?

There were post flying all over the net  and on entertainment magazines that Nollywood icon and Delta State Commissioner for Culture & Tourism, Richard Mofe-Damijo, has health problems probably as a result of his recent weight loss. 

Anyway, RMD has reacted to the rumours, saying he's better than ever.

"What else do you need? You saw me on stage, did I look sick? People are probably so disappointed to see me looking so much better they want the news to be true. Unfortunately for them, I am in the best shape of my life. 

"Have you not taken photos of me. It amazes me how people cling to bad news. I am a public servant in Delta State, I go to work every day. I am not sick. I changed my lifestyle and lost weight and I am looking better than I have ever looked in my adult life. For the records, I am not on Facebook and my colleagues that they used their names as those who posted the stories have all denied it.”RMD told Weekend Groove

Sadly, this has gone on for a long time and may continue, especially as the present generation, most of whom are educated, aren’t making efforts to bridge the gap but would rather continue to lag behind their English speaking colleagues, who continue to rake in mouth watering contracts, get featured in TIME magazine and chat with CNN, Oprah and other well known media houses.
