 A petition has been presented on change.org asking Beyonce and Jay Z to brush their child Orange Ivy's hair...and up to now it's gotten around 4,000 signatures.. 

 

The petition was began by a female called Jasmine Toliver, and below her petition she wrote;

'As a woman who understands the importance of hair care, it's disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture. The parents of Blue Ivy, Sean Carter aka Jay Z and Beyonce have failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy's hair. This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let's get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair.'

Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather says women should dress the way they want to be treated and if she shows half of her body, then she deserves to be disrespected. He shared his ideas on the situation on his instagram page.

Floyd is always surrounded by scantily dressed groupies, is he saying he mistreats them? I think women should cover up as much as they can and leave some things to the imagination, but we are not all the same and some like to show off skin. It doesn't mean they deserve to be disrespected based on that alone. But who agrees with him?

 The remains of foremost producer, writer, director and a leading player in the Nigerian movie industry, Amaka Igwe, was laid to rest today in her marital home, Ndiuche Arondizuogu in Imo State. May her soul continue to rest in perfect peace. Amaka died at age 51, on the 28th of April, from complications resulting from an asthmatic attack. She's survived by her husband of 21 years, Charles Igwe, three children, an aged mother and siblings.

The victim was said to have gone to the pastor to seek spiritual healing follow­ing spiritual attacks she was having. Pastor Odeyemi allegedly asked the victim to pull her clothes but she refused, fol­lowing which he forcefully rapéd her against her will.

Meet the youngest UNILAG medical doctor...graduates @ 21

21 year-old Maryam Opeyemi Raji (pictured above) has emerged the youngest graduating medical student at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, during 2012/13 academic session.  Parents, family and friends gathered on Wednesday, June 11 to celebrate her success story. Speaking on how she achieved it, Maryam said;

"It was my dad's dream I become a medical doctor. Unfortunately I lost him at age 8. People around me, especially my mum, nurtured the dream. She helped me keep the goal, it was very challenging but having her around kept me focused. Luckily for me, I finished my secondary education at an early age, and at 15, I gained admission to study medicine at the University of Lagos. Here I am today, I am being celebrated as the youngest medical student."
