On the Nigerian elite who criticize the corrupt government of Nigeria. They fall into two categories. The first group are in majority. They cry because they are left out in the sharing of the national cake. Their price is very cheap for the government of the day to easily afford. Give them money, government patronage, political appointment, national award, import license, oil bloc or highly inflated contract. These guys will shut up immediately and fall in line with their pay masters. The second group are very few. They cannot be easily bought by the government of the day. Their price is too much for the government of Nigeria to afford. Their price is a good government and a transparent as well as an accountable leadership in place. The corrupt government cannot afford this price. They will either arrest them, malign them, destroy their reputations, accuse them falsely, kill them or run them out of Nigerian into exile.
