The police, according to our source, were said to have sent signals about the stolen vehicle with registration number EX 421 ABJ after it was reported at the Garki Police Station to have been removed from where it was parked by the wife of the car’s owner.
The source added that, few days later, the owner of the stolen vehicle received a call from one Simon in Kubwa that two men, who claimed that the owner of the vehicle was sick had wanted to raise money by selling the car.
The caller, who according to our source, was said to have gotten the phone number of the owner from a bank teller in the vehicle, informed him that upon agreement of a sum N150,000, a part payment of N90,000 was given to the suspects.

The owner of the vehicle then advised him to play along with the car sellers, he then immediately contacted the police,” the source said. The suspects, the source added, were arrested by the police when they went for the balance of the agreed sum.
