Person with AIDS arrested for criminal assault following spitting at two girls

The criminal assault charges against Thompson came because she has AIDS, and spitting can possibly cause harm to the victims. According to experts, HIV can be found in saliva, but it is usually in too small amounts to infect anyone. According to the report, two victims reported to police that on Wednesday, Thompson spat on both of them.

When deputies went to arrest Thompson, she refused to comply with police orders to put down her phone and put her hands behind her back.

Eventually, officers were able to take her into custody. While riding to the Clark County Jail, she began to bang her head against the cage on the cruiser.

Thompson was placed in another cruiser and taken to the Clark County jail, where she was placed in a suicide gown to prevent injury to herself and others. A DNA sample was taken from Thompson for further testing.
She is also facing additional charges of resisting arrest.
