Many people ride to their wedding in a limousine or some other nice vehicle while others choose different and unique forms of transportation.

One couple of Lucerne, Switzerland, chose to ride a horse and carriage to their wedding reception. Unfortunately, they never reached their destination.

Continue after the break.

The newlywed couple spent their wedding night in adjoining beds at the hospital after a horse and carriage, which was taking them on a romantic trip to the hotel where the wedding was to be held, overturned, leaving them trapped underneath the carriage.

Steffen Shuster, 32, and his wife Andrea, 28, were taken to the hospital. The horse reportedly bolted after being startled when a rabbit suddenly ran across the road. The horse turned abruptly causing the carriage to break free.

The driver and a child, who had been travelling with them in the carriage, were also injured.
Meanwhile, guests at the reception waited for the couple to arrive. Police went to the hotel to inform guests of the accident.

Later that night, both bride and groom were released from the hospital.
The couple went on their honeymoon as planned, this time taking a car service to the airport.
