CIVILIZATION ? Church of England To Allow Church Blessings For Gay Couples



Under consideration: The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, said the Church will today look at the recommendations. The Archbishops of Canterbury and York recently published the Report of the House of Bishops Working Party on Individual Sexuality.

And based on it, gay couples should be permitted to have their relationships blessed in church. DailyMail reports that the record, published by former civil servant Friend Joseph Pilling and a team of elderly churchmen and girls, was published seven months after the Church first suggested it is taking a look at ‘accommodations'for same-sex couples and four months after the Archbishop of Canterbury, the most Reverend Justin Welby, informed Church leaders that ‘we ought to accept there's a revolution in the  community of sexuality.' The record was assembled by former civil servant Friend Joseph Pelling, pictured. It signals an end to the Church's longstanding insistence that gay relationships are sinful and less worthwhile than heterosexual marriage.And may possibly today start the way in which for a change of the CofE's opposition to same-se-x union and the eventual appointment of actively homosexual priests and bishops. Archbishop Welby said recently that bishops will today ‘look at the record and decide how such an activity may best  be shaped.'
