Pastor Adeboye heads To Obasanjo …As Junior Pastors Need His Resignation

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Religious Church of God is 71 this year. On this notice, the man of God, for the umpteenth time, has been asked to leave office since the Church's General Overseer. In 2010, four Assistant General Overseers of the Church, Pastors M.O. Ojo, Ilori, Aderibigbe and D. Ojo, were said to have been outdated by Pastor Adeboye on account of being 70. The hit, now, was reported to be raising, based on sources, that the man of God had to find support from former Leader Olusegun Obasanjo.
The fact that Pastor Adeboye is reported to be Main Obasanjo's bosom pal, and that the military standard had some level of impact on a number of the troublesome RCCG pastors, we gathered, might eventually douse the present tension.

Some time last year, immediately after Pastor Adeboye celebrated his 70th, some Europe-based pastors of RCCG made the very first call for him to stop on account of later years, challenging a younger body be allowed to take over the mantle of management of the Church.

About 10 prime pastors from the divisions of the Church were said to have met with the revered person of God now to drive their demand. One of the reasons adduced, we heard, was that Pastor Adeboye has already been above 70, this is the limit for the Church's G.O.
