The War Front Between Brymo & Dumped Record Lebel Choc City Is Far From Over. Both Parties In Court Today.

You might have heard that Brymo dumped record lebel tagged Chocolate City in May, while still under signed contract. A few weeks before he launched a recording together with his new staff, but by legislation he is still a Chocolate Town City artiste, thus the album is technically theirs & he is in breach of his contract, therefore Chocolate City attack him with a lawsuit, and he proceeded on a twitter rant.

Since then both parties have been talking, but last night Brymo's staff launched a statement which essentially claimed accusing Chocolate City of Bad Faith. Read full gist when you continue under.

“On the 30th of March 2013, a meeting went on between Brymo, his Administration and representatives of Chocolate City at the Chocolate Town office.
This is one of numerous previous attempts at hitting a mutually adequate decision of the conflict between the Artiste and the Record Label.
Following deliberations at the meeting, specific terms were agreed between the events and Chocolate City offered to fully capture the terms within a deal to be signed by both parties.

A few days later, Chocolate City submitted an idea with terms which were maybe not reflective of the deliberations and agreements at the claimed meeting. A similar occurrence had taken devote June when lawyers addressing Chocolate Town offered to hand Brymo a Record of Release from the lebel on the condition that he will give up his album to the label.

The artiste had insisted that Chocolate City has no right to the task as he still possessed the rights to the task and the lawyers had failed to provide the release even when Brymo agreed to quit the claimed album.

Please remember that the artiste's original decision release a his work/ earnings was done in excellent faith and with a need to attain an amicable settlement. It has become clear that Chocolate City isn't acting in the exact same heart of excellent faith.

The artiste selected to sever associations with Chocolate City in May 2013 when Chocolate city  continually didn't fulfill their obligations beneath the contract. And as opposed to handle amicably, the lebel is devising techniques to ensure that the Artiste remains unproductive.

Brymo asserts that beneath the circumstances of the formation, character, performance and implementation of his contract with Chocolate City, he is well within his rights as an Artiste and if no amicable decision is reached, is going to be ready to protect same under the provision of the Law.”

Brymo is a wonderfully gifted artiste & Personally I'm really sorry for him, but statements aside artistes in Nigeria need to realize that an agreement is binding. You can't just disregard for the law by strolling out or walking out on a contract…there are effects to this.

I hope Brymo gets a excellent lawyer cos Chocolate City seem like they may win this case.
Both of them are due in Court of law today.
