In a video which went viral last year, several men best described as beasts, took laws into their hands, torturing two women who were alleged to have stolen ground pepper in the market .
In the video, several men beat, strip, and torture two women for allegedly stealing pepper for cooking in their homes. The women “confessed” to stealing the pepper for use at home and not for reselling.
From the video, the “Ejigbo” was referenced severally, which portrays the locality where the atrocity took place.
Ejigbo is a local suburb in the outskirt of Lagos. The torture incident now popularly referred to as #Ejigbo2 represents the worst of all humanity and The Paradigm used its medium to call on authorities to investigate the sad incident which again, portrayed our society as an inhumane one.
The men inserted pepper and stick into their vaginas, beating them mercilessly. One of the women can be heard begging for her life, pleading for her tormentors not to kill her as she is a mother to little children at home.
