Ladies Now Abuse Yodi to increase backside size

Some surveys of what attracts men to women show some interesting results. In one online poll among 295 university male students, 159 said they preferred a flat chest over a flat bum, while 136 said they would rather go for a flat bum over a flat chest. Another online poll on random men had 64.2 per cent voting in favour of bum with 35.8 per cent voting in favour of breasts. Scientific studies have also shown evidence to the fact that bum rules over breasts for a large majority of heterosexual males.

One study conducted by researchers at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, looked at this preferences and the result of their findings showed that approximately 59 per cent favoured bum as the most attractive feature on a lady, some men preferred breasts (approximately 38.5 per cent), but rarely did a man report that both traits contribute equally to a woman’s attractiveness (approximately 2 per cent). The study which was carried out by in 2012, entitled “Eye fixations indicate men’s preference for female breasts or buttocks” was published in the journal, Archives of Sexual Behavior.

With such a startling exposition comes the increasing fixation on the female backside in music videos and songs extolling the woman’s bum and interestingly they are usually a hit. With the male obsession with the female buttocks, it is not surprising that certain women have chosen to go to all lengths to have the “perfect Donk”: big, curvy, round and with a lift.

The search for the perfect Donk is one frenzy that has gripped women regardless of culture, clime, economic or educational status. While a few choose to go for a natural way out by making diet modifications  and incorporating hip and butt enlargement exercises to their routines, others decide on extreme measures. This would explain butt augmentation surgeries, some of which are illegal and have resulted to deaths, padded underwears and the use and abuse of certain medications.

While some of these measures are supposedly slow in providing the desired results, such as exercises and diet modifications, others are purportedly quick fixes and while a step such as surgery may be for the courageous, swallowing a few pills is more embraced by the not-so-bold “perfect Donk” seekers.

In the market today, there are quite a number of pills touted to not only give the bum a lift, but also a better shape. Quite a number of them are acclaimed to contain more of herbs and usually undisclosed chemical compounds. However, these are usually quite expensive. Those who can afford these opt for it while those who can’t, abuse certain medications with the hope of achieving a bigger bum which usually comes off as the side effect of the use of such medications. One of such medication is dexamethasone.

Going by brand names such as Dexalab, Decadron, Dexasone, Dexamed, and the more popularly known Yodi, this medication is one that quite a number of ladies, especially this part of the globe, have chosen to abuse to achieve the dream of a more attractive bum.

According to Mr. Tokunbo Babatunde, a pharmacist at Orbitals Clinics, Ibadan, Oyo State, “Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid. Corticosteroid is a natural hormone produced by the body’s adrenal glands to carry out certain functions but when, for one reason or the other, the body cannot produce it, the drug dexamethasone is often used to replace this chemical. The drug is used for reducing inflammation in many conditions, such as  rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus, acute arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and ulcerative colitis. It is also administered when someone has severe allergic conditions that fail to respond to other treatments. In some cases, it is used in the treatment of certain cancers. There are also some blood diseases where the body’s immune system destroys platelets and red blood cells. Dexamethasone can also be used in the treatment of this. As you can see, the drug is not one that should be taken anyhow. It is used for serious health conditions.”

Given the nature of this drug being a steroid, in saner climes, it is strictly a prescription drug and not one that can easily be accessible for abuse. However, it is quite available in several patent medicine stores and can be purchased over the internet even without a prescription. Dr Soyombo Ayomikun, a medical doctor at the Omotosho Power Plant, Ondo State, points out that this is, in fact, very dangerous. “Dexamethasone is a steroid and affects every part of the body. It is not a drug that should be available over-the-counter.”

Like every other drug, there are usually side effects but the severity of the side effect of the abuse of dexamethasone would depend on the dosage and how long a person has been using it. Mr. Babatunde said, “While some of the side effects are mild, prolonged use in large doses can be life-threatening and lead to irreparable damage. Some of the side effects include weakened immune system, irregular menses, fluid retention, weight gain (especially in your face, neck, waist and buttocks), high blood pressure, headache, muscle weakness, puffiness of and hair growth on the face, infertility, thinning and easy bruising of skin, eye problems and peptic ulcer. These side effects can be seen in those who have a legitimate health condition and dexamethasone was prescribed. In a case where the person doesn’t even have any health condition and goes ahead to take this drug, the effects would be far worse.”

Apparently, the side effect of weight gain especially around the buttock area is the reason this medication is abused while the other serious side effects are disregarded by users. “The drug is not meant for bum enlargement and it is wrong and dangerous to take a drug for the side effects. Drugs are chemicals and every drug has side effects, but for dexamethasone, it is more serious and should be discouraged. With chronic abuse of this drug, that is for about four to five months and above, the side effects would begin to show and can continue over  a long period of time, ” Dr. Ayomikun said.

For those who have fallen into the trap of abuse of this drug, it can be stopped but Dr Ayomikun says that should be done with caution. “Though dexamethasone should not be abused, for those who have started, they should not stop abruptly. It should be gradual. They can reduce the intake over weeks and months and then stop. Immediate withdrawal has some side effects that are psychological,” he said.

For women who are still bent on having the perfect ‘Donk’, there is no short cut. Mr. Babtunde suggests that “exercise and diet will help overall body build but women don’t need to go to extremes because they want a shapely backside. There are exercises that can tone the muscles and they can opt for that. It would take time of course, but it has no side effect. Abusing drugs is no way to go about it.”
