Neymar - "I Was Two Centimeters Away From Getting Paralyzed”

Neymar has revealed the potential severity of his spinal injury, saying that if Juan Zuniga’s challenge was two centimeters below, he would have been confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

The Brazil star was kneed in the back in the final minutes of their quarter-final match against Colombia and was immediately ruled out of the tournament.

He is however expected to make a full recovery, but the forward has said the situation could have been worse.

“Two centimeters lower and I could be in a wheelchair today,” the Barcelona player told a press conference.

“I bear no grudge.”

Neymar also said that Zuniga had called him to apologise
