Chelsea striker, Drogba Out For 6 Months With damaged Ankle Ligaments

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, will miss the next six months, after he injured his ankled ligaments during their 2-1 win over Ferencvaros on Sunday evening.  The Ivorian, who returned to Stamford Bridge this summer, lasted only 30 minutes into his first start, before limping out. He was replaced by Oscar and immediately disappeared down the tunnel to receive further treatment.  Drogba’s injury will be a big blow for Jose Mourinho, who sold Demba Ba to Besiktas and is left with the Spanish duo of Fernando Torres and Diego Costa.  The Blues play Real Sociedad in their final pre-season friendly, before they open their 2014/2015 Premier League season against Burnley on August 18.
