The American president has dashed the hopes of people who expected to see him drenched in cold water
Looks like some people just can’t handle the cold.
US President, Barack Obama will not be participating in the ice bucket challenge despite being nominated by 86-year-old Ethel Kennedy, the matriarch of the Kennedy family.
The president turned down the offer and will instead be making a monetary donation.
The challenge aims at raising awareness and funds for ALS, a neurodegenerative disease.
The purpose of ice being poured on the participants is to enable them get a glimpse into what sufferers of the disease go through.
Many famous people from all over the world, including Nigeria’s own Genevieve Nnaji and Don Jazzy, have participated in the challenge.
