There are indications that Peter Odemwingie could miss the rest of the season, after the striker picked up a knee ligament injury.
Odewmingie, who came on as a substitute in Stoke City’s 1-0 win over Manchester City, fell awkwardly few minutes after coming on and manager Mark Hughes dismissed it as nothing serious.
However, new reports say the Nigeria could be out for a long time. A cruciate ligament injury usually requires orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation, which could last as long as six months to a year.
Stoke City are expected to make an official statement on the 32-year-old’s injury, although compatriot Victor Moses has been brought in on loan from Chelsea, to strengthen the Potters’ attack.
