See through Guitar: You Won't Believe How Much Peter Okoye's Guitar Costs

Peter posted a picture of him rocking a special transparent guitar in their home studio on his Istagram yesterday, Sept. 16, I immediately dug in to find out how much could that guitar really cost.

Psquare is one of the biggest selling music groups in Africa and also considered Nigeria's richest twin in entertainment. With these descriptions, many fans have always assumed that Peter and Paul Okoye would probably afford the best things in life given how much they are both worth.

However, when Peter posted a picture of him rocking a special transparent guitar in their home studio on his Instagram yesterday, Sept. 16, I immediately dug in to find out how much could that guitar really cost... I mean, a guitar Peter Okoye would use for his rehearsals

It's called an Acrylic 5 String Bass Guitar a.k.a transparent guitar a.k.a "a see-through" and is allegedly manufactured by a Chinese company called Alibaba. It's a jazz bass guitar used my musicians to help enhance their sound.
I also went ahead to get the cost of the musical instrument and behold it was less than a hundred thousand Naira! It streches around N72,000 ($433K) . Meaning, fans could actually afford a guitar used by the famous Psquare and if used right, can get the same sound the twin bangs the continent with!
However, according to menga.net, the acrylic guitar is one of the WORSE GUITARS any artistes can ever own. Why? There are three reasons for this:
  • Acrylic does absolutely nothing for tone or sustain no matter what anyone says.
  • The body is unbelievably heavy. Even heavier than a 1970s Les Paul. It's absolutely required to wear a well-padded guitar strap if you dare play this thing standing up.
  • No guitar player has ever said that they prefer an acrylic body. That has never happened in the history of electric guitars, and never will.
So, the site adviced that no one should buy an acrylic-bodied guitar. Stay away from these things, they concluded.
After reading this I started to wonder if Peter was holding something special and essential or are we suppose to inform him about the bad sides to that guitar he is happily showing off?
By the way he is using the guitar for rehearsals ahead of their "Double Trouble" tour coming up in a "country or city near you"!
