Fashola Bans Indecent dressing
Governor Babatunde Fashola’s administration has banned indecent dressing among female public servants.
All forms of dresses that expose breasts, contours and other sensitive female body parts have been outlawed.
The decision was taken as a result of worsening cases of indecent dressing among female public servants at the Lagos State Government Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.
Although PM News correspondent has observed that all forms of skimpy dresses or mini skirts, tight trousers revealing the contours, sleeveless dresses and blouses and body clinging dresses are worn by some female public servants as they walk about the secretariat.

Who is The man ‘Fashola’ by Fashola
In the absence of the usual compliment of effusive media adverts, the special interview granted a select group of editors was probably the most public event in the recent celebration of Babatunde Raji Fashola’s 50th birthday!
In a rare commentary on himself, Fashola wittingly fielded questions with fluid unscripted responses; possibly, the only question parried was the inquiry about which songs he sings during his early morning meditations, when, according to the governor, “I commune with my Maker”. However, the essence of the interview is probably the lessons on determination, commitment, simplicity, integrity, and discipline, which could serve as beacons for youths, who may find themselves at various crossroads of life.
For example, on the subject of birthday celebrations, Fashola revealed, “I am not a ceremony person; I don’t like those formalities, and I remember that when I was the Chief of Staff, I turned 40, and my friends said, “No! It’s a lie, we are going to have a party”, and I said, “No! If you do it, I’m going to have to run away!” Inevitably, however, the party lobbyists triumphed; but then, he added, “How they got me to do it, I can’t quite say, but what I remember (on that day) was that I had to wake up very early, and I said, “This shouldn’t be! This is my birthday, and I should be sleeping”!!

Lagos State Governor, His Excellency Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola Clocks 50 today, June 28th. President Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated him and sent his wishes as he clocks 50. Meanwhile Governor Fashola has told his aides he does not want an elaborate 50th birthday party. In accordance with him “By nature I'm not just a ceremonious person. I don't like most of the noise and partying. If this is my day, then people who really love me should allow me do it just how I'd like to. And to share with you the facts, the indisputable fact that probably I can have a birthday at tax payers expense is something that does not go down well with me, and it's just for 24 hours. So I'm going to possess a quiet and simple day with close friends and family.

Gov. Fashola set to have quiet & simple day on 50th Birthday. Shuns lavish Style proposed by Aides
Lagos State governor Babatunde Fashola will turn 50 on June 28th. His aides were planning an elaborate 50th birthday party but he asked them to stop. He doesn't want to have an elaborate birthday at tax payers expense. I love my governor. Read what he told City People below:
"By nature I am not a ceremonious person. I don't like all the noise and partying. When I saw all the plans going on for my 50th, I said no. If this is my day, then those who really love me should allow me do it the way I want to. I have told my aides how I feel about this whole 50th birthday celebration. I asked them if governors in other countries don't have their birthdays and is it usually in such a loud way and manner? If I do it my own way it won't cost me that much to receive my visitors. I funded my 40th birthday when I was Chief of Staff and it cost me so much. I am not quite sure I can do the same now. As a Governor, it will cost me more. I am not sure I want to spend that kind of money on parties. And to tell you the truth, the idea that probably I will have a birthday at tax payers expense is something that does not go down well with me, and it's only for 24 hours. So I am going to have a very quiet and simple day with close friends and family.

Tears of demolition ‘Gov. Fashola has finished us’
The bulldozers of the Lagos State Government are extra busy these days. First in Ijora-Badia, a sprawling shanty town, which is adjacent to Orile and Costain train stations, and later in the more upscale Itun-Omo Estate, in Odoragushin area of Epe, rumbling and rampaging bulldozers moved in, reducing hopes, dreams and futures to rubbles. In both cases, the government of Lagos State states unequivocally that, “Our intervention is a strategic one, to upgrade the quality of life.” But the affected communities are as bemused as they are traumatised. The refrain on every lip is “We voted for this government. Is this what we will get in return?” There is much wailing and gnashing of teeth among the landlords and residents who are saying with one bitter voice, “Fashola has finished us.”
The saying: “It is easier to destroy than to build” cannot be more apt. What took over a decade to build in Itun Omo Estate in Odoragushin Community of Eredo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, was reduced to rubbles in less than eight hours. The once lively community was reduced to ground zero. No fewer than 100 buildings were felled by rumbling and rampaging bulldozers of the Lagos State Government. Expectedly, the landlords and residents did not find the fate that befell their community funny.

Gov. Fashola blames okada for Damoche’s murder
Commercial motorcycle transportation, popularly known as okada, is once again in the eye of the storm following the brutal murder of singer and student, Damino Damoche, last Thursday in Lagos by gunmen on Okada.
Before Damoche’s murder, okada activities had been restricted in the state, and now, the state governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, is using the Damoche murder as an opportunity to campaign against Okada riding.
Condemning the gruesome killing of the singer cum student, Fashola urged residents to see reason for restriction of commercial Okada operators in the state. He said that the recent murder and previous ones buttressed the state government’s objectives of taming crime through the new road traffic law which restricts the activities of commercial motorcycle popularly called Okada.
