The wife allegedly held down the maid and ordered her to cooperate so the husband could rape her A man and his wife in Lagos have been arrested and taken to court after they were accused of rape. Ezechima Patrick and his wife, Uzoima were said to have conspired to commit the crime with the wife holding down the 16-year-old maid and ordering her to cooperate. The Prosecutor, ASP Godwin Anyanwu, reportedly told the court: “Patrick conspired with his wife to defile the 16-year-old girl. Uzoima had overpowered the girl for the husband to rape her.’’ Anyanwu said further that Uzoima threatened to stab the victim if she put up any resistance. The duo were charged with conspiracy, child defilement and rape before a Magistrate court in Yaba but they denied the allegations.

I have been married for 10+ years and thought I was happily married till some weeks ago. From the fourth year into my marriage my mom advised us to take on 2 female relatives. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man, Phillip Katongu, for allegedly stabbing his wife to death.  Katongu, who hails from Wamba, Nasarawa State, was apprehended by operatives of the Department of Criminal Investigations, Yaba, Lagos.

The police said the victim, Justina, was stabbed to death in a street at Oniru Estate, Maroko, Lagos, where she and her husband were living.

The husband of late iconic singer, Christy Essien Igbokwe, who put Nigeria on the world music map with her song, Seun Rere, Edwin Igbokwe, has opened up on his grief and denial following her death on June 30th 2011, saying he left her corpse in a room in their home for 3 months hoping she would wake up. That morning of her death, pastors and other prayer warriors ended morning prayer in her room; she whispered amen, and then slept off. It was exactly 9a.m. I felt dazed, shocked and awed when I was told I lost my ‘everything,’ my companion and the love of my life. Jebose, I caved into denial zone. We immediately moved her body to a room in our home, unknown to many. My late wife warned that her body must not be deposited in the mortuary. I had to respect her wishes. So we decorated a room in our house and laid her down. She was beautiful, peaceful in her sleep. The media and the enlarged burial committee members didn’t know where she was after her death. She lay in that room for almost three months. I was going crazy. I didn’t want to believe she would not wake up. She was smiling peacefully. I couldn’t believe it. According to TMZ, the husband of "Deal Or No Deal" suitcase model Katie Cleary (pictured with her left) shot himself to death just weeks after she was photographed getting cozy with actors Leonardo DiCaprio (pictured right with her) and Adrian Grenier (pictured after the cut). 

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Andrew Stern shot himself in the head Sunday while he was at a shooting range in the San Fernando Valley.

Am 24yrs old. Got married last year. I have a son for him but i cant stay with him. I met him and he immediately proposed to me and i accepted because i was having many suitors then that were all AS and am AS. He is not educated and not very rich. He came with his people to our house for introduction. I became pregnant for him. The day i told him that i was pregnant, he confessed to me that he doesnt have any money for brideprice, that he is owing bank and doesnt even have money to pay. I cried that day because of the pain i wil pass through. What he told me was whether i ve not seen girls that give birth in their father’s house. About two weeks ago, a 14 year old teenage girl named Wasila Umaru (pictured above), who was forced into marriage with a 35 year old man, killed the man and three of his friends with rat poison by slipping the poison into their meal during a small wedding party which took place in the northern Ungwar Yansoro village, at Gaya LGA near the city of Kano. Wasila now says she regrets killing her husband. The killing happened 17 days after their wedding. Speaking with a Vanguard reporter at Bompai police HQ, Kano, where she is being held, Wasila said;

“Mine was a classical example of youthful exuberance; it dawned on me shortly after that it was a joke taken too far to resolve a forced marriage question. I have never enjoyed the opportunity of going to Islamic school or acquiring Western education. My father forced me into this mess by stubbornly forcing me into a relationship I was not prepared to live in"

I need advice from matured minds please. I is likely to make the long story short.

I married at the age of 18yrs, and my husband is 19years olders than me. I have 2 boys and 2 girls for him. We both came from a very rich family so money it not the problem here.

My problem is this, for a couple of years I then found out that I don't have any atom of love for him. I just don't know how this happened but that's so how I feel. I'm 33 yrs old now and I guess I'm old enough and I've seen that I made a very big and expensive mistake in my life.

I'm a 27 year old girl. I live in Nigeria now however, I grew up in England. I got married two years ago and gave birth just four months ago. The problem now is that my husband has asked me whether my daughter and I are ready for our baby's circumcision. He has threatened to take her from me one day and go and circumcise her at his grandmother's place. He has also threatened to divorce me if  I don't circumcise our daughter soon. 

I'm absolutely tired of this. I don't know if I should just take my daughter and run away. I really don't want my daughter to go through such pain and agony in life. How can you want to circumcise a female child in 2014 ? I really don't understand. Please advice me.
