3 brothers today confessed to attacking and killing young cousins, 15 year old Pushpa (pictured left) and 14 year old Murti (right), have been found hanging from the tree on Wednesday May 28th. (Read the story here)

The crime provoked national outrage after it emerged that police in Katra village initially refused to investigate the girls' murder due to their low-caste status. Murti's dad has paid tribute to his daughter, saying she was a keen English student. Kolade Arowolo still insisting his 'murdered' wife killed herself

For those who saw the injuries on late banker, Titi Arowolo, you will all agree that it didn't look self-inflicted. But the man standing trial for her murder is still insisting she killed herself. 

Kolade Arowolo was in court yesterday May 22nd and told the court that Titi actually attacked him with the knife and eventually turned the knife on herself. He said: "I'm not that kind of person. I loved her so much".

Explaining what happened on June 24th 2011, Kolade said he and his wife had sex on that day. He said they'd agreed to stay indoors throughout the day since it was his birthday, adding that he, however, went out to withdraw money which they would use in celebrating his birthday. Continue..

 He said on returning home, an argument ensued, causing his wife to slap him. He said, “On June 24, 2011, after we had sex, we made some commitments one of which included that she (Titilayo) would no longer be running off to her parents’ home whenever we fought and we decided that we would do everything possible to make the marriage work. We decided that we would stay indoors till evening.

James Washington thought he was gonna get away with murder. He was already in prison, serving time for a different crime, when he suffered a heart attack.He called the guard on duty and said he had something to get off his conscience. He confessed to the murder of Joyce Goodener, whom he had killed in 1995.

The guard recalled his confession in court, while the man tried to take it back after he survived the heart attack.However, the man was found guilty of the murder and now faces a life sentence. It's a very unusual circumstance, but we're glad that justice was done!

The shooting of a 16-year-old boy riding his bike in Miami on Saturday was so random it shook even long-time investigators, reports the Miami Herald.

Bryan Herrera was "a child still in wonder with the world," said Det. Eldys Diaz at a briefing Monday, where Herrera's family joined police to ask for information related to his murder. "Everything about what I have seen from this young man tells me that he was just a sweet kid."

A Muslim man was jailed for life today for stabbing his devout Christian ex-girlfriend 13 times after they split following bitter rows about him wanting their young daughter to convert to Islam. Esther Arogundade, 32, was attacked by kitchen porter Shola Adebiyi in her own home after she began a relationship with another man. Adebiyi also drank oven cleaner in an attempt to kill himself and phoned Esther's new lover to say he would never see her again before confessing to the killing to a friend.
