Breaking news: Nigerians protest in London



Hundreds of Nigerians, today,protested in London over what they described as “President Goodluck Jonathan’s dictatorial tendencies.” The protesters marched to 10 Downing Street, where they presented a copy of their petition to the British Prime Minister.

Babcock University releases school fees for next session. Students protest



Well, they are not protesting in school or complaining to their school administration...they are protesting via the media. A few students from the school have sent me mails complaining about the exorbitant fees they are being made to pay to get an education. The university just released the school fees for the next session and some of the students feel its outrageous. See it After The Break.

Less Than 24Hrs After Students’ Protest And Killing Of At Least Two, Water Runs Again In Keffi



Less than 24hrs after the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) was closed indefinitely following students’ demonstration against lack of water and electricity in which at least two students were shot dead by armed soldiers and policemen, pipe-borne water has been restored in the ancient town and it has flowed ceaselessly.
The university students had – after close two weeks absence of water supply – for six straight  hours, protested along major roads in Keffi, obstructing vehicular and human movement.
Efforts to quell the riot led to the deployment of truckloads of armed soldiers who stormed the scene and fired live rounds killing two students and injuring four others.

Man Chains Himself To U.S. Embassy In Dominican Republic In Protest





A man behind a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against the U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic chained himself to the building’s fence in protest on Tuesday, claiming that a botched DNA test led officials to wrongly deny his daughter American citizenship while also ruining his marriage.
Miguel Familia, a naturalized U.S. citizen from the Dominican Republic, alleged that a DNA test ordered by the embassy to prove the girl was his daughter came back negative and she was denied residency in 2005.
After he received the test results, Familia divorced his wife and accused her of having an extramarital affair, according to his lawyer, Carlos de la Rosa.
