Ernest Nwankwo, the head pastor and General Overseer House of Mercy, accused of running a ritualist'den in Ikorodu, has finally told his own side of the story. The pastor was arrested after one of is own church members, Mrs Rosemary Chukwu, abducted a 6 year old boy in her neighborhood and told police after she was caught that her pastor Ernest Nwankwo had sent her to bring the boy. The owner of a religious organization, Jubilant Garden Ministries in Uyo, Prophetess Grace Akpan, has been arrested by the State police Command for allegedly operating a baby factory.
It was learnt that Akpan was arrested along with five young ladies and four men around 4am on Friday February 21th 2014 at the alleged baby factory location on High Tension Street, Edet Akpan Avenue, Uyo.............

While it is no longer news that prostitution is on the increase, teenage prostitution is a new phenomenon that is causing worry in the society. Teenagers of secondary school age seem to be competing with older women in a bid to sell their bodies to men.

Mary Istifanus (not her real name) 15 is a senior secondary school drop-out who has been sleeping with men for money. One might think she is in denial as she sees the act as one that is devoid of any personal gratification, saying:

"I am not a prostitute, I just hustle to make ends meet. My father is dead and my mother who sells Akara can’t take care of us."

She explains how she got into prostitution. “My class mates introduced me to the trade. One day, they invited me to their restaurant after school where some customers gave us money. We were then invited to a particular hotel and since then, that was how I started sleeping with men for money. I was suspended from school for being rebellious and so I stopped attending”.

Andrea Sanderlin, the suburban mother accused of running a sophisticated $3 million marijuana enterprise

Suburban mother accused of owning a sophisticated $3 million marijuana enterprise out of a New York warehouse pleaded not guilty today in federal court. Sanderlin, 45, of Scarsdale, N.Y., who has been called “pot mom” since her arrest, arrived in court wearing her prison uniform and sporting bleached blonde hair on her arraignment, where she pleaded not guilty.

The mother of two is charged with manufacturing and possessing marijuana with intent to distribute it, and for maintaining a warehouse where marijuana was grown and processed, according to the United States Attorney's Office Eastern District of New York. The hearing today was a prelude to a bail package her defense attorneys hoped to build within the week hoping of winning her freedom. She was returned to jail following the hearing. Sanderlin's trial is tentatively scheduled to begin on July 15.

Police Capture Murderer After Running For 30 Years

corrections officials have finally caught up with a parolee convicted of murder who had eluded them for more than three decades.

Richard Bradford had been living under the false identity of James Edward Heard and owned several properties in the Pasadena area, including a drug rehabilitation facility, authorities said.

Bradford was sentenced to life for first-degree murder in 1971, was paroled in 1978, and skipped out on his parole supervision in 1980, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said in a statement Wednesday.

Agents arrested Bradford this week, more than 32 years after he had disappeared, the statement said.

A false birth certificate with Heard's name was created in Alameda County in 1977, and a Social Security card was issued to him in 1978, both while he was still in prison, officials said.
