Ex-President OBJ's son shot in Mubi by Boko Haram

 Sahara Reporters is reporting that Boko Haram militants attacked a platoon led by the son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, shooting him today.. They say he ustained serious injuries to his legs and was being transported to the hospital at the time of their report. Find it below...

"Adeboye Obasanjo, an army engineer, was a Lieutenant Colonel at the 3rd Division in Jos, Plateau State.

He and his platoon were engaged with Boko Haram militants at Baza, which is the village of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3rd division when the incident took place." Continue...

Oscar Pistorius selling house where he shot and killed his partner

Oscar Pistorius's lawyer revealed today that the paralympian is planning to sell the house where he killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, allow him raise money for his legal fees which includes been rapidly increasing considering the commencement of his trial. 

Reports say with all advertising deals closed up and none in sight, Oscar has been grappling with raising money to cover his legal team. He's since been selling off a number of his other properties and a number of his racehorses.

A record on his official website confirmed he's selling the house.

 A court in Pretoria today was shown dramatic photos of murder suspect Oscar Pistorius moments after he killed his girlfriend at his home on February 14th 2013. The photos show the Paralympian bare chested with blood smeared all over his shorts and prosthetic legs. The photos were taken by police photographers who arrived 40 minutes following the shooting.

Other images shown in court today included the blood-spattered toilet where Reeve Steenkamp was shot dead, the 9mm gun Oscar found in killing his girlfriend and the cricket bat he claimed he used to break up the toilet door after he shot Reeva. See more Photos after the break.

Singer Atorise back in Nigeria after being shot & hospitalised in SA

Gospel singer Lanre Teriba, popularly known as Atorise was shot by armed robbers in South Africa on February 15 while there for a concert. He was attacked immediately after the show by unknown gunmen who robbed him and shot him in the leg. He was taken to Steve Biko Hospital in Pretoria South Africa where he had a successful surgery and was discharged recently. He returned to Nigeria today (seen above at the airport this afternoon)

Gospel singer, Lanre‘Atorise’Teriba was in South Africa on the 15th of this month to perform at a Valentine show tagged Praise Night Concert. But things went another way after the show was over. He was attacked by unknown men and was shot in the leg. His phones, Ipad and Gold wrist watch were all taken from him. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Another musician Dele Taiwo was present at the show but wasn't attacked. We wish him a quick recovery.

Lying on her hospital bed and staring into space, Miss Katherine Ijedinma (pictured above), couldn’t fathom out how she escaped escaped from gunshot fired by the 27-year-old man (name withheld), who stormed her and gunned down everyone on Saturday, February 16.

The man, a native of Imo State, visited the homes of Mr and Mrs Henry Ekene Ozor and that of Mr and Mrs Odia at Igando, Lagos, at night and shot his victims in cold blood over his relationship with Sandra, Katherine’s twin sister which her parents did not approve of. The thought of the incident that led to the brutal killing of at least seven family members gave the young lady of 24, a frightful look.

Narrating her experience, Katherine said: “We were at home when a man jumped the fence into the compound. Everyone was shouting Ole! Ole! (thief, thief). I checked and it was the guy that was dating my twin sister and he was carrying a gun. I was asking him what are you doing here and he asked us to go inside, I was carrying my aunt’s baby. “He said I was the one that asked my twin sister not to marry him.

Oscar Pistorius appeared in court today and gave his account of what happened at his home the night he shot his girlfriend dead. As far as I'm concerned, it's BS. See it below

He claimed he had been on the balcony of his house when he heard noises from the bathroom. Believing Reeva Steenkamp was asleep in bed, he grabbed his gun and shouted a warning before firing four shots through the door. It was only then, Pistorius claims that he realised Miss Steenkamp was not in bed.

'I kicked the door open,' he said  'I tried to help her but she died in my arms.'

You shouted a warning and she didn't respond? I'm beginning to believe this man is a cold blooded killer. His explanation makes no sense. Is the bathroom not in the bedroom? And to walk from the balcony to the bed where he kept his gun, wouldn't he have noticed his girlfriend was not in bed? Unbelievable! See his full statement after the Break..
