In a current interview with a popular tabloid, Ubi Franklin, Iyanya's manager revealed factual statements about the party.  According to him, he was mental  brain behind the raunchy birthday cake and party which he claimed cost $19,000 (N3million).

Afro-pop superstar Iyanya celebrated his birthday today with a trip to Ikoyi Prisons. The singer who just turned 27 was welcomed warmly by the DCP Bamidele and town; he proceeded in to the correctional facility where he spoke with the inmates.  Highlights of the visit included his performance with the talented intimates; Iyanya also pledged to build a recording studio in the establishment for the musically inclined inmates.

Saturday, October 26, 2013, it was a night of undiluted groove and fun as some Nigerian celebrities gathered at Swanky's Alibi Lush Mall, located at Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, for the Lee's Celebrity Monthly Birthday Party.

The party was for the September and October edition and it proved to be very successful one. The hosts of the event, the eclectic Shine OAP Cool FM Lagos and the humorous Omobaba did an excellent job in giving the show a class. It was a night of partying like never before.
