A 33-year-old mechanic, Mr. Yemi Oyeniyi, has fled his matrimonial home in Abeokuta, after a scan said his wife was carrying triplets. The mechanic’s wife, Mrs Esther Oyeniyi, told the News Agency of Nigeria on her hospital bed that her five-year-old marriage had earlier produced two children.
She that her husband absconded since June 3, 2012 when the result of the scan revealed that she was carrying triplets.
She described the disappearance of her husband as worrisome, saying that the development had forced her to relocate to Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Oke Yidi in the city.
Esther also said that the church members brought her to the State Hospital, Ijaiye, on October 19 and that she was delivered of the triplets on October 29.
While adding that her husband’s mobile phones had been inaccessible, she said that his compound is located at Iganna town in Oyo State.
She said further that the naming ceremony of the set of female triplets organised by the church, took place in the premises of the hospital on November 5.
She appealed to her husband as well as his relations to come to her aid.
“If he can’t come, I want to beg his family members to come to my aid; this is just too much for me to bear alone.
“I teach in a private primary school with a very small amount of salary. I obviously can’t cope without assistance now,” she said.
