Bad Romance singer Lady Gaga told fans on facebook that she has been ordered by her doctor to cancel her concerts in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, Canada due to severe illness.
Gaga was scheduled to perform two shows in Chicago at the United Center on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by a show at the Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan on Saturday and Hamilton at Copps Coliseum on Sunday explained:
"There's an unfortunate announcement coming out right now, concerning myself and the Born This Way Ball. I'm so sorry. I barely know what to say. I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened," the 26-year-old "Born This Way" singer wrote in a statement. "I've been praying it would heal. I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last night's performance I could not walk and still can't."
"To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself," she added.
She also turned to her Tweeter.com page and explained that the concert cancellation was due to "a case of synovitis (severe inflammation of joints)."
"I'm devastated and sad," Gaga wrote. "It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and I'm sorry.
