Babcock University Denies Increase In Tuition Fees



The management of Babcock University, Ilishan Remo Ogun state, Nigeria has denied the alleged increase in tuition fees payable by students of the institution, saying the allegation posted on some internet blogs was false, misleading and mischievous.
Addressing a press conference at the premises of the institution’s Senate building, the Vice Chancellor; Prof. James Makinde used the occasion to assure parents, guardian and students alike of academic quality in line with the 21st century challenges
The press briefing called by the school’s management was aimed at clearing the air over the alleged increase in the tuition fees payable by students.

The Vice Chancellor said the average fee at Babcock university remains N630,500.
According to him students of the Law department will pay N763,000, Accounting department N763,000, medicine-N2 million  which covers accommodation, feeding, medical insurance,
While assuring parents, guardians and students of quality education pursuit based on competence, character and commitment, the school’s management said its multi-billion Naira teaching hospital aimed at positively changing the face of Medicare and education service delivery has been opened to the general public
The institution in its one and half decades of existence has continued to impact and contribute to the human capital development index of the country, a feat the management said would not be compromised
The alleged increased tuition fee which went viral on social media platforms states that “Babcock University just released the school fees for the next session which some student think it’s outrageous but can’t protest for fear of expulsion or suspension.”
It alleged that students will pay the following fees in the different departs: “Accounting – N1.5 million per session. Nursing – N1 million per session. Law – N2 million per session. Medicine – N3 million per session. Others – N860, 000 per session.”
