Dearest Ọmọ Oódua Readers , we basically had this post cooked up since Samsung Nigeria jumped the gun and sent a tweet about the availability of BBM in Africa starting on the 21st of September… Why did we not put it up you ask? Well, it has happened in the past that big brand names have jumped the gun and announced a date that hadn’t been approved by Blackberry itself. Well, earlier today Blackberry officially blessed this date with a press release on its blog highlighting all the features of BBM for those who didn’t already know What the messaging app felt like. Its basically reincarnating the BBM on the Z10 unto your android phones and your iPhones.
Continue after the break.
Sources report that Samsung however might have been after an exclusive deal that brought the app to Galaxy phone for an entire 3 months before other android carriers but Blackberry has reported distanced itself from talks of such a deal. They company has stated the messaging app will be available on Saturday, just a day earlier than the iPhone counterparts. As we previously reported, the app will not be coming to the iPad but we don’t think that should stop anyone from using screen doubling to manage on their iPads.
As we all know, September is usually the loudest month for techies and September this year hasn’t disappointed one bit. The iOS 7 popped officially yesterday even though some of us have experienced the beta version of the new revamped OS. Most people haven’t actually said much about how that runs on the iPad so we'll do a full hands on review on that during the course of the day.
Just another two days till power Blackberry users are able to enjoy the company of their elite Android and iOS friends. Seeing as we are obviously so cool. They are excited to be welcoming us. They might even throw us a party. Who knows. Prepare your phones for BBM. It’s finally here…
