Sir Alex retired at the conclusion of last season after 26 years in
control that saw him become the most successful British manager
of all-time. To honour him, former Waters Reach, a road that runs
alongside United's stadium has been renamed Six Alex Ferguson Way. He also bags the freedom of the borough. That's a traditional
honour giving to someone to recognise their status in just a town or
city. Big congrats to him.
