Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, Nigeria's Minister for Agriculture has been named Forbes African Person of the Year. He was bestowed the honor due to his exceptional reforms in Nigeria's agricultural sector.Akinwunmi beat Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Party, Rick Ovia, Chairman of the Zenith Bank Party, Strive Masiyiwa, founder of International Telecoms class and South African mining magnate, Patrice Motsepe. He was chosen for his vision for making Nigeria a self-sustaining food-producing nation, which expectations to register around 20 million farmers by 2015.
