Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, has apologised to his wife Jennifer, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and his team mates, after he was photographed in a hotel room with a model, hours before a match. He has earlier denied that he met with Celia Kay, but a picture taken by the model of Giroud in his hotel room in just underwear, has been published by the UK Sun on Sunday, forcing the former Montpellier man to ask for forgiveness.
“I apologise to my wife, family and friends and my manager, team-mates and Arsenal fans,” he wrote on his Twitter page.
“I now have to fight for my family and for my club and obtain their forgiveness. Nothing else matters at the moment.”Kay, who models for international magazines such as Maxim and FHM, however insists she did not made love with Giroud, who escaped a £230,000 club fine, but wondered why Giroud lied about the incident.
“Olivier knows the truth and the fact that he lied about us is pathetic,” Kay told the Sun on Sunday.
“He’s just digging a bigger hole for himself. If he is big enough to do the crime, he’s got to serve the time.”
