Paul Okoye's Traditional Wedding, One of a kind !

Until last Saturday, March 22 when Paul Okoye, half of P-square wedded his wife Anita Isama, no Nigerian musician’s wedding had been broadcasted live on TV before. He makes the first Nigerian musician to wed live TV. Net reports about this record.

Cable station, Hip TV, made history by covering the wedding of Paul Okoye and Anita Isama and airing it live, thereby becoming the first Nigerian TV station to air a Nigerian musician’s wedding live.


Hip TV acquired exclusive rights from the couple to transmit the traditional marriage live on their channel (324 on DSTV), and their production, sound and camera crew was there to cover proceedings. The channel had earlier handled the pre-wedding shoot for the couple.

Hip TV also obtained exclusive TV rights for Tiwa Savage’s wedding last year, and we’re told they’re warming up for other celeb weddings coming up this year.

Hip TV is headed by Ayo Animashaun, who is also the organiser of one of the most prestigious music award shows in Nigeria, ‘The Headies’.
