Tragedy: Bangladesh ferry with 200 occupants capsizes, 9 bodies recovered



Weeks after having a ferry capsized in South Korea killing almost 300 people, another ferry has capsized with 200 passengers on board. A Bangladeshi ferry capsized today May 15th following strong winds because it sailed through the Meghna river at Rasulpur in Munshiganj district close to the capital, Dhaka.  Nine bodies have to date been recovered including those of women and children, in accordance with police, with more bodies expected to be recovered in the coming days. A number of the passengers was able to swim to the shore of the river. Rescue operation has been going on considering that the disaster happened.
