The 2014 World cup began tonite June 12th with a colorful opening ceremony at the Arena de Sao Paulo in Brazil that reportedly cost around $4.5million to put together. International music stars, Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull were joined on stage by Brazilian pop-star Claudia Leitte to execute the state World Cup song'We Are One (Ola Ola) '.

The ceremony was followed closely by the opening match of the tournament - hosts Brazil vs Croatia. The match ended 3-1 in favour of Brazil. And just what a match it had been!
