The wife allegedly held down the maid and ordered her to cooperate so the husband could rape her
A man and his wife in Lagos have been arrested and taken to court after they were accused of rape.
Ezechima Patrick and his wife, Uzoima were said to have conspired to commit the crime with the wife holding down the 16-year-old maid and ordering her to cooperate.
The Prosecutor, ASP Godwin Anyanwu, reportedly told the court:
“Patrick conspired with his wife to defile the 16-year-old girl. Uzoima had overpowered the girl for the husband to rape her.’’
Anyanwu said further that Uzoima threatened to stab the victim if she put up any resistance.
The duo were charged with conspiracy, child defilement and rape before a Magistrate court in Yaba but they denied the allegations.
