 We saw 22 year old Super Eagles midfielder Michael Babatunde taken off in the 2nd 50% of yesterday's game against Argentina with his arm in a cast but some people didn't really know it had been that serious. A scan after the match showed that he literally broke his arm after being hit with a fierce shot from Ogenyi Onazi. (see pic on the right). He's been ruled out from the 2014 World Cup.

Lagos State Governor, His Excellency Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola Clocks 50 today, June 28th. President Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated him and sent his wishes as he clocks 50. Meanwhile Governor Fashola has told his aides he does not want an elaborate 50th birthday party. In accordance with him “By nature I'm not just a ceremonious person. I don't like most of the noise and partying. If this is my day, then people who really love me should allow me do it just how I'd like to. And to share with you the facts, the indisputable fact that probably I can have a birthday at tax payers expense is something that does not go down well with me, and it's just for 24 hours. So I'm going to possess a quiet and simple day with close friends and family.
