Fashola, we are dying of noise pollution

Dear Sir, I hope this appeal meets you in good health. As you wind down on the final year of your administration, I have decided to draw your attention to one of the challenges that make Lagos one of the most hazardous places to live in the world. The menace of noise pollution in this city is one issue I believe your administration must pay close attention to beyond the current half-hearted approach of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency and the Ministry of the Environment.

The danger of a scourge that has made Lagos to be lowly ranked on the Liveable City Index certainly demands a more aggressive approach. As you would have noticed in my introduction, my concern was to first ask after your health condition. This is because I believe that since you live among us, you are also affected by the chaos this city has become. I know that as you go about your official duties, you are also not immune from the nuisance of noise pollution.

Worrisome: How Nigerians Are Dying In The Desert in Search Of Greener Pastures

Illegal migration is a crime which has sent many youths to their early graves. Yet, many are still very willing to subject themselves to it, not minding the grave consequences of such dangerous adventure. For some, they undertake the journey because of:

Their belief that life is greener outside Nigeria. Chibunma Ukwu sampled the opinion of stakeholders and writes that the menace should be discouraged without reservations.

There is no doubt that Illegal migration has proven itself to be bad in every ramification. But why do Nigerian youths still take the risk of travelling through illegal channels despite the efforts of the government to stop this so far? Little wonder stakeholders are expressing concern.

Completely Brainwashed Suicide Bomber Cried For Not Dying And Go Meet His 33 Virgins In Heaven

A prosecution witness on Tuesday told an Abuja Federal High Court that an arrested Boko Haram member, Mustapha Umar, wept bitterly over his failure to die in a suicide-bombing mission.
The arrested suicide bomber is “always crying because the operation he went for failed, he said that he would have been happier if he had died in the operation with people (victims) so that he would be in heaven.”
Umar is standing trial for bombing a plaza housing the offices of some newspapers in Kaduna in April 2012.

The witness, a police detective, said he interrogated Umar after he was arrested in Kaduna and brought to Abuja. The accused is unhappy because not dying with victims of the attack had denied him the opportunity to make it to heaven and enjoy his "virgins".

"I know why actors are dying in Nollywood" - Prophet Chris Okafor

Prophet Chris Okafor is the General Overseer of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry. Below is what he told an Encomium magazine reporter about the recent deaths in Nollywood.
"This year I gave a prophecy concerning the entertainment industry that there is going to be series of death, and they never asked me for a solution. One problem is that they like to go to churches where they do paparazzi and the rest. They don't want to come to the truth and that is why they are dying this way. If they come to me, I will tell them the mystery why people are dying in Nollywood just like I've been able to tell Nigerians why electricity can't be stable in Nigeria. I know why they are dying. Let them come to me"

Jamie Foxx Allegedly Will Not Visit His Dying Father For Abandoning Him

After being given away as a child, “Django Unchained” star Jamie Foxx is reaping revenge by turning his back on his dying dad, say sources. Jamie’s 74-year-old father is said to be devastated because the Oscar-winning actor has repeatedly rebuffed efforts to patch up the feud. “We’ve called Jamie several times over the years and left hundreds of messages,” the actor’s stepmother Hellema Abdullah told The ENQUIRER. “But he has never returned our calls. Now his father is sick with severe scar tissue on his lungs and has to be on oxygen every day. I just wish Jamie would call.”
