Emeka Ike Refuses To Give Up On Property, Sues Landlord For ₦2bn



Nollywood Actor cum school Proprietor, Emeka Ike, who was recently thrown out of the building he rented for his St. Nicholas school is not giving up.

The embattled school proprietor is insisting that he is still in possession of the building and that the matter should not be treated like a national crisis.

You will recall that Emeka Ike was allegedly ejected from the building after he reportedly refused to pay his bedridden 87-year old Landlord for several years.

After been charged to court and ejected from the building,  Emeka in a new interview with NET disclosed that he will sue his Landlord for N2billion, confirming that he has moved his school to the Island.

ThingsFallApart: Emeka Ike thrown out of his Rented Duplex over Failure to Pay House Rent

Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike who has been thrown out of his rented apartment in Magodo GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, over his inability to pay an accumulated three year rent of N8.5 million.

The apartment, a twin duplex located at 1, Raji Oladimeji Street, Magodo GRA, was until his ejection, used by Emeka to run his business.

 Emeka had in 2007 diversified by establishing a secondary school named St Nicholas College and decided to hire the premises on a five-year lease agreement from an 87-year-old retiree, Chief Samuel Agboola Akintan at the rate of N2 million per annum for the first two years and N3 million annually for the remaining three years, bringing the total rent of five years to N13 million.

Sad: Emeka Ike removed From St. Nicholas School Building



It’s indeed not a good time for actor Emeka Ike and his wife, as the owners of the property that housed their Secondary School, St. Nicholas College, which they started in 2008 has evicted them from the building with the help of the law court.   The building was sealed last week Friday after a court case that lasted for 5years. The said owners also accused them of not paying their dues before now. Sources said, St. Nicholas College has been experiencing a lot of troubles especially, when the actor started owing the teachers and employing incompetent hands. A lot of kids were also withdrawn from the school by parents, with others threatening to do the same. But all that is over now, as the school building has been sealed up.
