Lupita Nyong'o was honored with the Best Breakthrough Performance Award at the 7th annual Black African Women in Hollywood Luncheon for her work in critically acclaimed film, 12 Years a Slave, and in her acceptance speech, she'd said black is beautiful and condemned bleaching creams after she read a letter from a girl who said Lupita rescued her from buying Dencia’s Whitenicious cream to lighten her skin.
