No 2nd chance for Nigerian Under-17 star Kelechi Iheanacho – Keshi

You will have no second chance for Nigerian Under-17 star, Kelechi Iheanacho in the Super Eagles build-up for the 2014 African Nation Championship (CHAN) scheduled for South Africa. According to the Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi, the youngster has missed one week training with the group because he choose to leave camp to sign for British team, Manchester City.

It is thought that the city option could have fallen through leaving the youngster and his representatives contemplating other options. But Keshi explained to supersport.com that Iheanacho had a brilliant opportunity of making the Super Eagles squad for the CHAN which kicks off on January 11 after impressing during camp.

Despite released from the home based Super Eagles camp to sign for Manchester City in Britain, it's been unmasked to people that Kelechi Iheanacho is however yet to sign with the former British champions.

Kennedy Ezenwere, Kelechi Iheanacho's coach and instructor at the Taye School he played for in Owerri, Imo state, unmasked that Kelechi is currently in Lagos, and has chose to go on to FC Porto in Portugal, as opposed to Manchester City.
