Nigeria's top earning football player, Mikel Obi is undoubtedly, one of Nigeria's most eligible bachelors. So, it's no surprise that after new photos of him and his woman, Olga Diyachenko, all loved up, kissing and giggling for the camera went viral today, a lot of Nigerian ladies came for his lucky lady. Well, Mikel has come to his boo's rescue.

Talking to sports journalist, Colins Udoh, 27 year old Mikel who is obviously no longer searching,  asked Nigerian girls to cut his beau some slack while dismissing reports that he has proposed to Olga. Mikel said:

Guess Mikel Obi like the rest of us is scared of contracting the Ebola virus. According to multiple eye witnesses, the Super Eagles midfielder arrived at the Eagles Calabar camp this afternoon wearing protective hand gloves. When asked by coach Stephen Keshi why he was wearing gloves, Mikel reportedly replied
"Coach I have up to four hand gloves and if you don’t mind, I can give you one. I'm not joking with this virus oh” Mikel jokingly told Keshi and everyone present laughed. The Eagles are preparing for the AFCON qualifiers against Congo this Saturday. 17 players including Mikel are now in camp. Odemwingie is out due to injury while Vincent Enyeama is out due to family reasons.

The Amstel Malta brand ambassador who was simply revealed at the second edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards alongside Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji were all smiling when the brand team introduced him to staff, fans, media men and guests who gave him an exceptionally warm reception.

John Mikel Obi’s days at Chelsea could be numbered as the club look set to offload the Nigeria international at the end of the season.  According to reports in England, Blues boss Jose Mourinho has informed Mikel he can leave the side for a small fee this summer. The Premier League giants have already started looking for Mikel’s replacement, with Olympique Marseille’s Gianelli Imbula identified as a potential successor. Mikel has become unsettled at Chelsea since the return of Mourinho to west London. The midfielder, who was earlier linked with a move to Galatasary and AS Monaco, has fallen further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the January arrival of Nemanja Matic.

Mikel Obi's Brother Escapes Death

The parent brother of Chelsea celebrity, John Mikel Obi, Ebele Obi was involved with a ghastly engine accident on Monday.  Ebele Obi who also plays for Heartland FC of Owerri was in Enugu to see his fiancé elizabeth when the accident happened.  Based on the former Rangers participant, he was in Enugu to see his fiancéelizabeth and throughout a drive across town his Toyota Camry Spyder had a head-on collision with another car.

He explained he thanked Lord he prevented a major injury damage of the disaster.
