D'banj and Don Jazzy, without doubt, both dominated the music scene for nine years prior to the cookies crumbled and they went their separate ways.  The finalists for the 2013 edition of the Miss Earth Nigeria beauty pageant have been revealed. AGN President Ibinabo Fiberesima is the National Director of the competition.

The grand finale is scheduled to take place on Sunday 22nd September 2013 at the Grand Ball Room, Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The judges for the competition include Nollywood star Genevieve Nnaji, American model/actress Amber Rose, American actor Boris Kodjoe, American hip hop artiste Karly Redd and top Nigerian photographer Kelechi Amadi-Obi.

The 23 finalists have all been in the beauty camp, where they are being trained for the task ahead.

Islamic group wins: Miss World pageant moved out of Jakarta to Bali

Days after an Islamic group staged a protest against the organizers of the 2013 Miss World pageant, demanding that the pageant should not be held in Jakarta as it runs against their culture, the pageant organizers have been forced to move the final of the pageant to Bali - where they said today that it would be 'impossible' to stage the finale there, because of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, where world leaders and thousands of officials are expected to attend. The summit begins at the beginning of October while the pageant is scheduled to take place on September 28.

Prolific actress and the pride of African film industry, Genevieve Nnaji has been announced as one of the judges for the Miss Earth beauty pageant holding in Lagos on September 28, 2013.  The jewel of Nollywood will team up with Amber Rose, Morris Chestnut in picking the eventual winner of the contest from the array of pretty, smart and intelligent contestants to be paraded that day.

Miss West Africa Nigeria 2013/14 is Adekemi Emmanuel a graduate of computer science from ondo state, she won the coveted crown on 17 of august in asaba, she will represent our wonderful country Nigeria in Cape Verde.Her pet project is on roll off malaria and helping the vulnerable children. Why were you dethroned?
It all started when I got the Franchise for participation at the Miss United Nations Pageant on the 17th to 18th of April 2013.
Because I was getting late for everything, they immediately forwarded my invitation letter and other documents to facilitate my VISA application. In addition, they assigned to me an African Director whose job was to make sure I secure a Tourist Visa to Mexico were the finals would take place. I had all his details sent to me and I contacted him and we started working.

Miss Iowa: MEET One-Armed Beauty Queen Who Will Compete For The Miss America Crown

The newest Miss Iowa has been named and she only has one arm. Nicole Kelly took the crown Saturday after a 3-day competition in Davenport, Iowa. She will go on to compete for the Miss America crown in September.

Kelly, 23, hails from the Hawkeye State town of Keokuk. She intends to use the coveted platform of the Miss America competition to discuss overcoming disabilities.

There is nothing whatsoever I miss about my old life. Instead I wish I had known the Lord before now. I have no regrets because I am positive that the path I have toed is what God prepared for me and whatever mistakes I have made in my past remains in my past and I was meant to make those mistakes. I have learnt from them because mistakes are experiences which you grow with. You are also wiser because you have been tested.

About her husband, she says:

"I met my husband in his hometown in Delta State where we live now. I went to evangelize there. We got married a few years later in 2009. I just thank God marriage has been wonderful. We have our challenges but we never let it stay past past two minutes and we are done with it. We've been married for almost four years but it looks like we've been married forever. We do some crazy little things like children and play around. We are like teenagers in love and I am enjoying every moment of my marriage."
