Charly Boy lost his dad Justice Chukwudifu Oputa on May 4th. In this interview, he opens up about his dad's illness, the battle to save him and his last words to him before he passed on. Read below.
Q. Do you wish God kept your father a little bit longer? Ans: Before Nko, but his time was up and he had to answer the call. He lived a good life. He was outstanding, totally different and I am so very proud that he was my father. Even though in the beginning I rebelled against all he stood for, it all eventually caught up with me, and as I matured over the years I found out that he had done me so much good. For sure I'm going to miss him like mad, but I have wonderful memories to tie me over.
The singer and businesswoman tells Encomium magazine
"Se-x is overrated and s-ex is for lovers who are trying to make babies. I
am not trying to do so, it is not in my agenda. Not having se-x for two
years feels good. I am saving energy and mileage. I have better things
to waste energy on. I want to wait till after marriage because I am not
in a rush. Marriage is a commitment. I just don't see myself falling
inlove, having se-x and being both heart broken. I have never been
heartbroken. I can't take a heartbreak..and men these days expect
anything from them. To avoid heartbreak, if I meet any serious man we
will meet the families, no se-x for over six months, so in the process
they might find out they don't like me so I can quit easily."
