Nigeria Police detectives attached to Niger State Police Command on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 have arrested an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), ASC Idris Saidu over his involvement in illegal dealings in arms and ammunition. Following the arrest, the detectives also have recovered from the suspect two (2) AK-47 rifles and a large chunk of ammunition. The suspect, male and 33yrs of age who hails from Maje Village, Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State and currently serving at NSCDC Headquarters, Minna, was arrested at Fadikpe Area of Chachanga Local Government of Niger State following a tip-off from a patriotic Nigerian. Boko Haram Abducts wife of Cameroon's Vice Prime Minister
The wife of Cameroon's Vice Prime Minister, Amadou Ali, was kidnapped this morning July 27th after men of the Boko Haram sect stormed her home in the northern town of Kolofata, Cameroon's information minister and government spokesman revealed.
Mrs Ali was kidnapped alongside her domestic staff and one other person. The insurgents also killed 3 people in the attack on Kolofata, a town in Cameroon's Far North Region near Nigeria
Colonel Felix Nji Formekong, the second commander of Cameroon's third inter-army military region (RMIA3) based in the regional headquarters of Maroua, said the sect members are believed to still be in the town fiercely engaging military officers

Thanks for the compliment. I am a very playful and down-to-earth person though, there are times I prefer keeping to myself in order to avoid people taking advantage or abusing me. However, I am a very simple person. I am from Eket, Akwa Ibom State. I am from a family of four children; three brothers and myself, the only daughter of the family. My mum and dad divorced 20 years ago.

Two days ago an Air Algerie plane crashed in Mali, killing all 116 on board. According to reports, the Algerian bound flight couldn’t proceed because of the horrible weather,the pilot was forced to turn around and lost contact shortly after. The first images from the wreckage have emerged and no one survived as the plane burst into flames on impact.
Ten members of a single French family were also killed in the disaster.They were on ‘the trip of a lifetime and had travelled to Burkina Faso because a relative had married a Burkinabe.110 passengers and six crew were on board. According to the breakdown, 8Lebanese, 51 French, 27 Burkina Faso nationals, 6 Algerians, 5 Canadians, 4 Germans,2 Luxemburg nationals, one Swiss, 1 Belgian, one Egyptian, one Ukrainian, 1 Nigerian, 1 Cameroonian and one Malian.
Just so many lives lost via air crashes in the space of one week.
