Like Seriously??? Why Was Ebola ‘Miracle’ Drug Only Administered to 2 White Americans?

One of the things that made Ebola so terrifying was that it appeared there was no cure for the devastating disease. But a secret serum developed by a San Diego-based company may be an Ebola miracle cure, as it apparently saved the lives of the two white Americans who contracted the disease in Liberia.

Amid the stunning media reports about the possible Ebola miracle drug, some observers are wondering why the drug was tried only when two white Americans contracted the disease, considering that Ebola has been wreaking havoc in West Africa for months. Ebola has been diagnosed in 1,600 people and killed more than 700 in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. It has thus far killed about 60 percent of those infected.

Family denies late Dr Adadevoh's younger sister tested positive for Ebola

The Adadevoh family has denied reports that younger sister lately Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh (pictured above) who died of the Ebola virus, has tested positive to Ebola and has been hospitalized.

Despite sources insisting that Amy Ngozi Adadevoh tested positive and has been moved to the isolation treatment centre in Lagos, the family says this is really not true.

This information is 100% incorrect. As I am sure you are aware, positive Ebola cases are announced by the Minister of Health. You can check with the official list from the Health Ministry. Amy got a clean bill of health yesterday after her EVD test result came back negative. She left the hospital much earlier in the day and is now home thanking God. The Adadevoh family is well known and very popular and this misinformation is causing a lot of extra grief." - family source

S’Leonean law makes hiding Ebola patients a crime

Sierra Leone’s parliament has passed a new law making it a criminal offence to shelter Ebola patients. Those caught face up to two years in prison, the justice minister said. The measure still needs to be approved by the president. Earlier, Ivory Coast closed its land borders to prevent the spread of the deadly Ebola virus on to its territory. The World Health Organisation says the measures – taken by other countries as well – are counterproductive. So far 1,427 people have died – more than in any other Ebola outbreak. The number of cases now stands at 2,615. The speed and extent of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa are “unprecedented”, according to the WHO.

An encounter with Ebola in Obalende

“Oga! Oga! go back, I say go back, no go dat side o. One man don catch the Ebola disease and e wan die; you better run for your life!”
I had arrived Obalende, a popular bus station in central Lagos having alighted from an in-bound BRT bus from the peninsular Ajah area of the city a moment earlier and walked straight into the Ebola virus disease scare that had thrown the bus station into an uproar. Not that Obalende, the once notorious city centre synonymous with Nigeria’s socio-political history had ever possessed the serene ambience of its neighbouring colonial GRA of Ikoyi but even on its saner days, the oldest bus station in Lagos was always in a state of bedlam. But on the day I passed through its maze of human and vehicular commotion, Obalende seemed to have played host to a thousand demons.

Ebola Scare: Food for thought on Religion vs Ebola !!

AFRICANS are at it again this sunday.
Around 6:30 or so this morning, I heard an alfa/iman saying Ebola outbreak is a sign that we don't obey God's law and so on......
He advised that people shouldn't bath with salt and hot water (cool, though he didn't prescribe any cure or preventive method) rather, he said "we are God's people, God's people don't sick". They all recited some wording in Arabic, later, they closed.
Now its the church's time.
