Two men have now been banned for life from the Gobi restaurant in Brighton, England, for eating too much food at the $19 all you can eat buffet. Andy George and Dalmon Miles were told never to return to the restaurant, after each of them ate five bowls of stir-fried-vegetables.
The restaurant manager angrily accused the pair of “being a couple of pigs, that are eating him out of business." He also accused them of making in pretty bad shape at the buffet table in a race to eat around they can from the menu.
Upset at being banned from the restaurant, Miles, 26, said that the restaurant should stick with their promise and allow people to eat what they want. The pair claimed that the restaurant has small bowls and they can't get pleased with the small portions so they always return for more.
Once the restaurant manager told them they are banned for life, they thought he was joking. After 2 yrs of the men eating a great deal the manager had enough and banned them for life. “I could not believe it”, Miles said. “On their website, the restaurant promises customers they can create their own individual meal and eat how much they want.”
Gobi manager, who declined to be identified, admitted he had told the "greedy" couple never to come back and said: “They spoil everything and they're on the go to eat their meal before other folks make it happen and they create a mess. We are a buffet however they eat everything from the bowls. We just can't keep doing this.”
The manager complained the pair never ordered anything besides the $19 all-you-can-eat menu. “They simply drank water that will be free with the meal, we're not just a charity. We are a business. It's our restaurant and we can tell people not to come back when we don't want them here.”
“Basically they only can be found in and pig out. We have endure them for 2 yrs but I've had enough, we cannot afford to endure their behavior anymore.”
