Rivers State has been given the hosting rights of the 2014 Best of Nollywood Awards slated for the peaceful city of Port Harcourt on October 4. The executive producer of the Award, Seun Oloketuyi said ''We chose Port Harcourt because of a lot of reasons; Port Harcourt is one of the most beautiful cities in Africa, the State has produced some of the best brains in Nollywood and Gov Amaechi has also provided an enabling environment for tourism and Nollywood''. On his part, Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi says;
'' it is a great honour to have this prestigious Award platform in Port Harcourt a year after hosting the nominees dinner''. BON Awards 2014 marks the sixth season of the event and it is expected to be the most glamorous Nollywood Event of the year. Best of Nollywood Award is believed to be the most prestigious and transparent Award ceremony for Nollywood practitioners.
