Saidi Balogun backs Seun Kuti as he gets very angry with bloggers, says  A$$Holes…After Reports Of Purported Beef With Flavour! -

The Afrobeat artiste & son of Fela Kuti, took time out of touring (he’s in Calgary, Canada right now) to write an angry memo to Nigerian “bloggers”. The memo is in response to the story about him allegedly having an issue with Flavour N’Abania over the latter’s MTV MAMA award win for Best Live Act.
To be fair I felt Seun’s instagram post about the Best Live Act award was directed more at MTV Africa than Flavour.
However about an hour ago, Seun wrote on Facebook

Abeg o all naija bloggers!!! I wasn’t Trynna disrespect flavor in anyway shape or form. Una wan start news be that. He is a nice guy and the only celeb I have played on FIFA. It’s weird that of all I did this year that’s what u chose to report. A harmless jest actually made to poke fun at MTV and their under representation of African music on their African channel. Abeg I am not into all this artiste beef and negativity. #official
He also added on Instagram

#lifeondroad. Yeye #lifeondroad. Yeye negative reporters. Everything to make SEUN seem negative. I dare u to write the truth assholes!!!negative reporters. Everything to make SEUN seem negative. I dare u to write the truth assholes!!!
Assholes though? That’s harsh…Entertainment & Celeb bloggers get no love. :(

Yoruba movie actor Saidi Balogun also took to Seun’s defense, he added his two cents writing

I feel you my brother, see d difference between journalists and bloggers for naija, abeg most of them na bloggers. Journalist implies following internationally accepted ethics and standards not all this hear rubbish yarn rubbish sharpsharp wey dem bloggers dey do. Sadly many of them have no formal training or you have mechanical engineering grad writing about entertainment for a newspaper
To be fair Mr. Balogun even “journalists” outside Nigeria don’t necessarily follow “international accepted ethics and standards.” Before the internet age people in the public eye regularly called out the journalists Mr Balogun speaks of. People will always have issue with the press…it is what it is.
