In an interview with Sun News, 9ice says he plans to quit music to concentrate fully on politics because he can't be singing at 35. He can't? What he said below...

Yes, I want to leave music for politics. Next year January, I will be 35-years-old and I’m not praying to still be in music at that age. I am serious about politics now. If you listen to my music, you would notice that politics has been part of me; it’s in my blood. When I started initially, I talked about being your brother’s keeper, and that’s why I studied Law at Lagos State University before I dropped out to concentrate on my music career. I hate when things go wrong. When two or three people are having issues, I love to get there to settle their differences. I have passion for politics and it has always been in my blood."

 Singer turned politician 9ice recently welcomed his 4th child together with his girlfriend, Sunkanmi Ajala. Their daughter was in born in the US last week.  9ice hs a boy together with his ex-wife, Toni Payne, a couple of twins together with another ex-girlfriend, Victoria Godis and now a girl with Sunkanmi.

Popular singer, Abolore Akande, aka 9ice, has denied online reports which claim he was quitting music.

The singer who recently announced his intention to run for the Ogbomosho North Federal Constituency seat in his home town in Oyo State, southwest Nigeria in 2015, says he does not want to leave music anytime.

An obviously infuriated 9ice tells E-Punch, 

“I am preparing to release a double album this year. We released five songs yesterday (Wednesday) and also shot a video. We plan to release another one on Friday. I am tired of these false reports, I can’t count how many times that 2face was rumoured to have died, yet he is still alive. It is so annoying and for the record I am still doing music full time. I just had my Industry Night on Wednesday night. So where are all these stories emanating from?”

Alapomeji - 9ice returns to School to study LAW

9ice the ‘gongo aso’ hit maker was studying Law at the Lagos State University before lack of funds took charge, then he took to music where he has prospered. He revealed in an interview with the Nigerian Tribune that he has returned back to school to chase his dream of becoming a lawyer.

With an impending concert already shrouded in controversy in Dublin, an angry fan sent in the stinker below from Dublin at 9ice apparent lack of courtesy and etiquette. The guy probably thinks he is in Nigeria where they behave like tin gods. Europe is a leveller, you come down to the level of permissible behaviour and decorum. I won't say you folks should boycott his show because the promoter must have invested a fortune, just grin and buy it.

9ice Owes PHCN Electricity Bills Over ₦60k

According to source providing Stella Dimokorkus, Crooner Abolore Akande a-k-a 9ice might be owing over N60k light bill at his Ahmadiya Abule egba Lagos home.  Some PHCN officials visited his home and disconnected his light cables and after the officials left,a miracle happened and the cables were noticed to be 'reconnected'. 

The Phcn officials paid another visit to 9ice's home about two weeks later to probably get settled but were shocked to discover light that they didnt authorize. The officials stood outside threatening to disconnect the cables again when 9ice supposedly came out and counter threatened the phcn officials daring them to disconnect his cables.
