Many fans loved the photos but accused them of bleaching; their fans commented on the photos saying they looked lighter than what they used to be in their previous photos. They have come out to debunk the claims that they are bleaching. They say it is the camera lights and because they hardly walk in the sun that’s why their skin looks lighter and glows.

Nadia Buari Rejects $75,000 Endorsement Deal For Bleaching Product




According to an article we received from Nadia Buari’s camp (calling themselves team Nadia Buari), the 2014 African Achievers Awards actress of the year has allegedly turned down an endorsement deal worth $75,000 from French cosmetic company Avant Claire Grande.

She said lots of people criticize her when she posts new pictures but they're all the work of the camera and she isn't bleaching. See What skin bleaching Did to this Woman (Photo)




THE World Health Organisation, WHO, has said 77 per cent of women in Nigeria use skin-lightening products, the world’s highest percentage. The figure compares with 59 per cent in Togo, and 27 per cent in Senegal. 

The WHO report said the reasons for this are varied but most people said they use skin-lighteners because they want “white skin”. WHO also said skin bleaching comes with hazardous health consequences. The dangers associated with the use of toxic compounds for skin bleaching include, blood cancers such as leukemia and cancers of the liver and kidneys, as well as severe skin conditions. It said hardcore bleachers use illegal ointments containing toxins like mercury, a metal that blocks production of melanin, which gives the skin its colour, but can also be toxic.

Tonto Dikeh Is Bleaching: 8 Out Of 10 Nigerian Women Bleach Their Skins - WHO ( Do You Agree?)



Aljazeera recently took a look at Nigeria’s booming skin bleaching market and shockingly, they mentioned that according to the World Health Organization, 8 out of 10 Nigeria women bleach their skin.

What a staggering statistic!

Gradually, skin bleaching is taking over Africa and the ease at which skin bleaching products can be obtained has made it worst.
